PETALING JAYA: The Subang Jaya Municipal Council today launched a "Control and Anti-litter Enforcement" campaign in an effort to highlight to the public the importance of garbage management.
The campaign was launched by council president Datuk Asmawi Kasbi, who said in his speech that a cleaner environment would also help in the fight against Aedes as there would be fewer mosquito-breeding grounds.
In conjunction with the campaign, 400 "anti-litter" bins have been placed at eight strategic commercial locations, including sites at USJ 9, USJ 10, USJ 1 (Regalia), Puchong Prima 5, BS 4 and Taman Seri Serdang.
Asmawi urged traders and the public to work with the council in ensuring the success of the campaign.
