Car sales up 16.2%: MAA

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) says sales volume in March 2014 was 8,201 units or 16.2% higher than the previous month due to delivery of new models, rush for deliveries by companies having financial year ending March 31, 2014 and a longer working month.
According to the association's data 52,122 units of passenger vehicles and 6,797 commercial vehicles were sold in March.
MAA expects sales volume for April 2014 to be maintained at March 2014 level.
