IPOH: Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir (pix) today hit out at certain quarters who use the Malaysia Airlines MH17 tragedy in Ukraine as an opportunity to lambast the government.
He said all parties should instead feel sympathy for the families of the air crash victims and the country in facing this unfortunate incident.
"There have been politicians who made unfair accusations against the government that even people outside this country and those affected by the tragedy were surprised at their action as they showed no sympathy for the victims and Malaysia."
Zambry said this to reporters after chairing a state executive council meeting, here, today. He said Malaysians should all be united in facing the MH17 tragedy.
The Boeing 777 aircraft with 298 people onboard, including 15 crew members, crashed in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine last Thursday while on its way from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. It is believed to have been shot down by a surface-to-air missile. – Bernama
