Father, daughter die in head-on collision near Tawau

TAWAU: A man and his five-year-old daughter were killed, and his two other daughters were badly injured, after their car was involved in a head-on collision with another car at Km21 of Jalan Merotai-Bombalai near here yesterday, police said today.
Muhd Aras Arfah, 37, and Nurul Zahirah Izzawati died on the spot in the accident which occurred at about 6.30pm, said Tawau Police chief ACP Awang Besar Dullah.
The two other girls, aged seven and nine, had been admitted to the Tawau Hospital, he said in a statement. He said the driver of the other vehicle, Ramlah Abd Rahim, 33, and her three passengers were slightly injured.
Awang Besar said Muhd Aras was driving from Merotai to Tawau when the accident happened. – Bernama
