AirAsia X shares' suspended pending announcement

    PETALING JAYA: Long haul carrier AirAsia X Bhd's shares will be suspended today pending a material announcement.
    The carrier has been in the news recently on possible changes in the top management of the group with the departure of its CEO Azran Osman Rani and CFO Chew Eng Loke, who has been with the group since September 2014.
    Reuters also reported that the airline is expected to announce a rights issue today.
    Azran has since denied that he is leaving the group. The AirAsia group and AirAsia X did not respond to reports on changes to its management.
    AirAsia X's shares were down 1.5 sen or 2.2%, to close at 65.5 sen with some 8.7 million shares traded.
