Four in a family killed in collision

    KUANTAN: Four family members were killed when the Proton Waja vehicle they were travelling in collided with a lorry at Km 138, Jalan Kuantan-Segamat near Muadzam Shah in Rompin early this morning.

    The victims of the 5.35am accident have been identified as driver Rohaizan Paimon, 38, his wife, Sallyza Hakim Lokma Nulhakim, 32, and their two children, Nur Allysha Adrieanna Hakim, six, and Muhammad Nur Irfan Danish, four.
    Pahang Traffic and Public Order Department chief Supt Mohd Noor Yusof Ali said all the victims died on the spot from serious head and body injuries.
    "The incident took place when the family of four from Kampung Kerang Darat, Jalan Kuantan By-Pass near here was heading from Segamat to Kuantan.
    "Upon reaching the accident location, the vehicle driven by Rohaizan was believed to have lost control before entering the opposite direction and collided with the lorry," he said.
    The bodies of the four victims were later sent to the Rompin district hospital for post-mortem. – Bernama
