Motorcyclist killed, five others injured by motorist

KAJANG: A 63-year old motorcyclist was killed when a car crashed into five motorcyclists who were taking shelter under the Sg. Long flyover along the Grand Saga Highway from Putrajaya here yesterday.
The victim, Hasril Ab Rahman, said was taking shelter due to the rainy weather died on the spot while the remaining motorcyclists was seriously injured and rushed to Kajang Hospital.
Kajang OCPD ACP Abdul Rashid Abdul Wahab said the mishap happened at KM 17.2 of Grand Saga Highway third lane from Putrajaya.
"The car driver was believed to have lost control of the wheel due to the bad weather, causing the vehicle to veer into the motorcycles parked below the Sg. Long flyover," he said in a statement yesterday.
The victims were sent to the Kajang Hospital for further treatment.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
