CRSM, YBAM set up relief funds for quake victims

    PETALING JAYA: The Crisis Relief squad of MCA (CRSM) has set up a “Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund” to help the victims of the natural disaster in that country.
    CRSM national chairman Datuk Lua Choon Hann, in a statement today, said: “The Malaysian government is doing its part by sending medical and rescue teams to the disaster site in Nepal, and we too can play a role even if we are not able to help at the front lines by donating funds to aid the victims.”
    CRSM will hand over all donations received to the Nepalese embassy here.
    Meanwhile, The Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia (YBAM) has also come forward to help victims of Nepal earthquake disaster.
    Its secretary-general Sek Chin Yong, in a statement today, expressed their concerned for the victims and is launching a campaign to collect funds for them with immediate effect until May 22.
