India offers 20 scholarships for M'sians to pursue traditional medicine courses

    KUALA LUMPUR: The government of India is offering 20 scholarships for Malaysian students to pursue courses in the "Traditional System of Medicine" in India for the 2015-2016 academic session.

    Its high commission here in a statement said, the scholarships were for four bachelor's degree programmes, namely Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery (11 seats) Siddha Medicine & Sciences (five), Unani Medicine & Surgery (two) and Homeopathy Medicine & Surgery (two).
    The candidates need to have proficiency in English and no serious health problems, among the criteria for eligibility to attend the courses.

    The form must be submitted to the Education Wing, High Commission of India, Menara 1 Mon't Kiara, Level 28, No. 1, Jalan Kiara, Mon't Kiara by July 6, 2015.
