Papagomo arrested last night, will be investigated under Sedition Act (Updated)

GOMBAK: GOMBAK: Police arrested a blogger, Wan Mohd Azri Wan Deris (pix), who runs a blog known as Papagomo on Tuesday night.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar (pix) told a press conference today that the blogger was picked up at his house, without disclosing where the location of the house.
"He was detained in his house under the Sedition Act," said Khalid today before distributing Hari Raya goodies to public who have started going back to their hometown at Gombak toll plaza.
Khalid added that the blogger was detained under the Sedition Act for allegedly to have caused racial tensions in connection with the ruckus at Low Yat Plaza on late Sunday.
"We also seized his mobile phones and laptops," added Khalid.
Papagomo had posted a picture purportedly a 'victim' of the melee and it had made the situation worse.
Khalid had urged him to surrender himself on Monday to facilitate the investigations on the Low Yat Plaza melee.
On Tuesday, Khalid had warned that anyone who misused social medias and used pictures from other incidents to confuse and claimed it was from the Low Yat Plaza incident will also face the consequences.
Khalid also added that police will start manhunt for a division chief of a political party in Penang for allegedly inciting racial tension on the Plaza Low Yat Plaza issue.
"There will be more people who will be arrested especially those who abused social media. This includes the division chief of the political party. We will not compromise, we are colour blind and we don't care. Anyone who is found to have incite the incident in Low Yat Plaza will be arrested.
"Those who also did their own 'analysis' over the incident on social medias also needs to be careful. They can be arrested over their analysis no matter what language they used. We will keep monitoring, " said Khalid.
On Tuesday, police arrested Malaysia Armed Forces Veterans Association chief Mohd Ali Baharom, 43, also known as Ali Tinju over the Low Yat Plaza riot.
Mohd Ali was held under the Sedition Act in connection with allegations of inciting the brawl and he will be remanded for four days beginning today.
To date, police have arrested 26 people in connection to the with the Low Yat Plaza melee on late Sunday.
