Palanivel makes rounds collecting nominations

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri G. Palanivel (pix) is making the rounds to collect nominations from branch chairmen for his election as MIC president on Aug 9.
He needs 300 nominations from branches to qualify to contest, His nominations is on Aug 9. Each nomination consists of a proposer and a seconder from a branch committee.
On Sunday he was in Johor and later this week he is going to Kedah, Perak and Penang.
Palanivel is also appealing his case against the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to the Federal Court. He has also filed various other suits against his opponents.
Meanwhile, his opponent Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam is on course to get elected as MIC president and is supported by a majority of the 3,500 branches.
His nomination is on Aug 21.
