25 passengers rescued after speedboat stranded off Pulau Papan

    LABUAN: A speed boat ferrying 25 passengers enroute here from Sipitang, Sabah almost sank after it struck a floating driftwood, two nautical miles off Pulau Papan this afternoon.
    In the 2pm incident, the Labuan marine police rescued the passengers and sent them to the Labuan Marina jetty.
    The passengers were aged between 19 and 54. Subsequently, the Malaysian-registered boat continued its journey to the island. – Bernama
