YTL’s 4th quarter earnings slip 15.6%

PETALING JAYA: Conglomerate YTL Corp Bhd saw its net profit slip 15.57% to RM298.93 million for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2015 from RM354.07 million in the same period last financial year, mainly due to lower contribution in most of its business segments.
Revenue went down 10.66% from RM4.61 billion to RM4.12 billion.
YTL has proposed to declare a dividend of 9.5 sen per share. In a filing with the stock exchange, YTL expects all its business divisions to see satisfactory performance for the financial year ending June 30, 2016.
On a full-year basis, YTL’s net profit dipped 31.21% from RM1.55 billion to RM1.07 billion on the back of a 12.7% drop in revenue from RM19.27 billion to RM16.82 billion.
