Victoria Beckham helps sister launch fashion boutique

VICTORIA Beckham (pix) has helped her sister launch a fashion boutique.
The 41-year-old designer has pumped money into her younger sibling Louise Flood's business, Hidden Closet, in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, and has even asked her son Brooklyn, 16, whom she has with husband David, to work there part-time following its official opening last weekend.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Louise has always shown a massive interest in Vic's fashion work – this seemed like a natural step.
"Victoria has helped financially to get her on her feet ... David has also thought it's important to instil a work ethic in the kids so Brooklyn will help out at the store part-time."
Louise's boutique will also sell clothes, bags and jewellery but, unlike Victoria's luxury brand, at high street prices.
Meanwhile, the former Spice Girls singer was overcome with emotion last week when she was handed the British Luxury Brand of the Year title at the Walpole Awards in London.
She said at the time: "I feel a little overwhelmed because this does really mean an enormous amount to me. I've always dreamed big. I believe in creative visualisation."
Victoria beat off stiff competition from Burberry, Roksanda, Bentley and Alexander McQueen in the category and she praised her team for their hard work.
She explained: "I was up there and I was really pinching myself. I feel proud of myself and I feel proud of my team.
"I'm really proud to be British and to have my team here, my studio is here, and my atelier is here. Most of my ready to wear is manufactured here in London. We're an independent, UK-based brand operating on a global scale." – Bang Media
