Mudajaya plant starts operations

    PETALING JAYA: Mudajaya Group Bhd said its 46%-owned associate, PT Harmoni Energy Indonesia has achieved commercial operation date for its 2 x 7 MW coal-fired steam power plant in Desa Baruta Analalaki, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia on Oct 29, 2015.
    In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the group said this was confirmed by PT PLN (Persero) Wilayah Sulawesi Selatan, Sulawesi Tenggara Dan Sulawesi Barat (PLN) on Nov 10, 2015.
    Mudajaya said the power plant will provide a recurrent income stream to the group and is expected to contribute positively towards its earnings and net assets for the current and future years.
    The 2x7 MW coal-fired steam power plant in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia is developed on a build-operate-own concept subsequent to PT Harmoni entering into a power purchase agreement (PPA) for a period of 25 years from commercial operation date with PLN in July 2011.
