ALOR GAJAH: Borrowers of National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loans affected by floods are advised to discuss to reschedule the payment of their loans.
PTPTN chairman Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah said they were concerned about the welfare of borrowers affected by floods and were prepared to discuss how to ease their burden.
"We can reschedule the payment of their loans up to several years, depending on the need and conditions such as until they reach the age of 60.
"The problem starts when the borrowers stop paying their PTPTN loans without informing us."
Shamsul Anuar, who is also the Umno Welfare Bureau chairman, said this after visiting the areas affected by floods, here, today.
A total of 3,092 people from 670 families were evacuated in Melaka until this afternoon when floods hit several areas in the state since yesterday. — Bernama
