Thrifty winners

IT was a great start to the week for 13 lucky RHB Bank Berhad customers as they walked away with RM760,000 worth of attractive prizes from the “Save to Win” contest!

The happiest of the lot was Ang Siew Toh, the grand prize winner of the contest who drove home a brand new Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid. Ang, who has been an RHB customer for over three years, was informed of the contest by an officer at her local RHB branch. Hailing from Johor Baru, Ang and her husband Lee Chuan Aik, have been using RHB Bank to deal with their family businesses as they find the bank’s services to be fast and efficient.
RHB’s “Save to Win” contest ran for four months from Oct 1 last year to Jan 31. It garnered a total of 1,824 entries.
Participants consisted of new and existing customers with a conventional current account or savings account (CASA). They were required to save by placing money in fixed deposits. The higher the amount saved, the higher were one’s chances of winning.
Customers were also entitled to redeem various lifestyle rewards when they had saved up the required amount in fixed deposit.
SAVE AND REDEEM
Besides the grand prize winner, 12 others were selected to receive the monthly prizes of three months fixed deposit (FD) worth RM15,000, RM12,000 and RM10,000.
The monthly winners were:
- FD worth RM15,000: Loh Fan Keong, Tong Kok Chai, Murugappan Tamil Selvi, and Dong Sech Sing
- FD worth RM12,000: Sak Moy@ Sak Swee Len, Seow Joo Guan, Foo Siew Ping@ Foo Shee Booi, and Lim Moon Chong
- FD worth RM10,000: Lim Chew Fong, Kazimah Yusoff @ Hamzah, Tey Wee Jen, and Tan Ee Lean
Present at the prize-giving ceremony was RHB Bank executive director of retail banking U Chen Hock, who presented Ang with her new luxury drive.
