First Malaysian enters 'Ninja Warrior' TV programme in Vietnam

    KUALA LUMPUR: Mohd Redha Rozlan's video participating in a Japanese sports entertainment game television programme, Sasuke Vi?t Nam or known as 'Ninja Warrior', has left some Malaysian netizens in awe.
    The IT-related officer had passed the first stage of the game below 46 seconds and he could probably be the first Malaysian to enter the show.
    The Pahang-born, who is known as 'Mat Redho' in his Facebook account, has published his interview and performance in the game on Monday, which was broadcasted by the Vietnam VTV3 channel.

    Mohd Redha, who paired with his partner Erin Malek in Fear Factor Malaysia in 2014, had received 20,105 viewers on the 2.47-minute video.
    According to the national English daily Viet Nam News (VNS) report, Sasuke, the sports game show that originated in Japan, had commenced its second season in Vi?t Nam from May 19.
    The daily reported that this year, a total of 1,500 people registered to join the first round of the game, including 35 foreign applicants.
    Participants were interviewed or auditioned, and trial rounds were held to test their physical ability, until the group is narrowed to 100 competitors.
    It said Sasuke presented four stages of increasing difficulty, and competitors must complete a stage to advance and to date, Sasuke had aired in nearly 200 countries.
    The competitors had to pass obstacles such as the Spinning Bridge, Rope Climb, Jumping Bars and Salmon Ladder, as well as the Spider Flip and Dodging Hammer, to reach the top of a tower called Midori-yama, within the given time, the daily reported. — Bernama
