LONDON: England will play Spain in a friendly match at Wembley on Nov 15, the Football Association announced on Thursday.
Both teams have appointed new managers since Euro 2016, with Sam Allardyce succeeding Roy Hodgson at the England helm and Julen Lopetegui taking over from Vicente del Bosque with Spain.
England were dealt a humiliating defeat by Iceland in the Euro last 16, with defending champions Spain losing to Italy in the same round.
England will play old enemies Scotland at Wembley in a 2018 World Cup qualifier four days before the meeting with Spain.
Allardyce's men have also been drawn alongside Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania and Malta in Group F.
Spain face Italy, Albania, Israel, Macedonia and Liechtenstein in Group G. They play Macedonia in Granada three days before the game at Wembley.
Spain won 2-0 when the teams last met in Alicante in Nov 2015, with Mario and Santi Cazorla on target. — AFP
