1,978kg cooking oil seized in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: The Lahad Datu Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) seized 1,978 kg of cooking oil in a raid on a business premises here yesterday.
Its chief enforcement officer, Rino Hisham Abu Bakar said the owner of the premises was operating without a valid licence.
"The case is investigated under Section 21 of the Control of Supplies Act 1961. If found guilty, the premises owner may be fined not more than one million ringgit or jailed not exceeding three years, or both," he told Bernama here today. — Bernama
