PROPERTY purchasers are the ultimate end-users of the properties promoted by the developers, be it for their own residence, office space, investment or rental income.
Having believed and invested in developers’ offerings, their views also postulate end-user feedback, which can prove both informative and critical for savvy property marketers.
For the third consecutive year, iProperty’s Peoples’ Choice Awards has identified and acknowledged the opinion and selection of the Malaysian people in the property sector across 13 categories (see list).
Industry leaders, executives and professionals associated with this sector, congregated at the glittering event hosted at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur on Dec 15. Following previous CEO Georg Chmiel’s footsteps, REA International COO Arthur Charlaftis reiterated iProperty’s commitment to establish a platform which identifies the peoples’ opinion, simultaneously honouring industry leaders whose distinguished and impressive developments have made such a significant impact in the lives of property buyers.
Charlaftis detailed how “PCA celebrates the diverse range of achievements delivered by the highest calibre of property developers in Malaysia” by representing “the opinions of thousands of individuals who buy, invest, rent, live or work in the developments that these prestigious developers have created”. The awards received:
► Good response with over 100 nominations received for the 13 categories.
► These were shortlisted to 40 finalists.
► The public were then invited to vote for their preferred developer and development in the 13 categories.
► Around 10,000 Malaysians participated in the 2016 voting process.

PROMINENT WINNERS
1)Mah Sing Group continued its winning streak as “Developer of the Year” for the third consecutive year.
2) Sunway Iskandar was recognised for “Best Township Development” for the third successive year.
3) Other big winners of the night included:
• Skyworld Development for “Best Green Development” and “Best Value Development”
• BCB Berhad for “Best Southern Development” and “Best Residential Landed Development”
• Asia Green Group for “Best Northern Development” and “Best Residential High Rise Development”
• Sunway Iskandar emerging as “Best Township Development” for the third consecutive year.
