PETALING JAYA: Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) has awarded four work package contracts with a total value of RM2.74 billion for the construction of the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line.
In a statement last Friday, it said the award for three packages, which completes the tenders for all 10 viaduct work packages for the SSP Line, were made following a One-Stop Procurement I (OSPC I) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak.
The OSPC I meetings were held to determine work packages valued at RM300 million and above, it noted.
MRT Corp said the RM858.18 million work package V205 was awarded to Trans Resources Corp Sdn Bhd. It is for the construction and completion of the viaduct guideway and other associated works from Kampung Muhibbah to Serdang Raya.

The second work package V206, which involves the construction and completion of the viaduct guideway and other associated works from Serdang Raya to UPM, was awarded to Gadang Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd for RM952.09 million.

Meanwhile, MRT Corp said a separate OSPC II meeting to determine work packaged valued at less than RM300 million and chaired by the Minister of Finance II Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, was also held to decide on the award of work package S201.
The work package worth RM212.3 million was bagged by Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd. It is for the construction and completion of elevated stations and other associated works at Damansara Damai, Sri Damansara West and Sri Damansara East.
MRT Corp CEO Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar said that all four successful tenderers were selected on the basis of the best evaluated tender, adding the tenders were evaluated on their technical, commercial, legal, financial and Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP) evaluation.
