'Ride for Jalil' aims to raise RM300,000 for Johor cancer foundation

JOHOR BARU: A charity convoy, 'Ride For Jalil', in memory of the late Tunku Laksamana Johor, Tunku Abdul Jalil Sultan Ibrahim will be held for two days, beginning April 29.
Proceeds from the event - aimed at raising RM300,000 from participants -will be handed over to the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation.
Desmo Owners' Club Malaysia president, Mohd Naqeb Abdul Majid said the convoy would involve 700 bikers from Malaysia and from abroad, including Thailand and Singapore.
He said the convoy being held for the first time would be led by Tunku Panglima Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ibrahim.
"The convoy is aimed at creating public awareness of cancer," he told reporters after the launch of the 'Ride For Jalil' by Tunku Abdul Rahman here today.
