Corruption: MACC detains man with 'Datuk' title in Penang

GEORGE TOWN: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have obtained a five-day remand order for a prominent businessman.
The businessman who is a Datuk will be investigated for alleged abuse of power in relation to a local foundation.
The remand order was granted by Magistrate Mohamad Amin Shahul Hamid against the businessman who is well known in the corporate and entrepreneurial sectors.
It was learnt that the man surrendered at the MACC office on Wednesday night.
He will be investigated under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009.
