Pandikar meets South Korean delegation, Iranian envoy

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 8, 2014): Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia today received a South Korea Parliamentary Legislation and Judiciary Committee delegation at his office here.
The seven-member delegation was led by its chairman, Park Young-sun. Met by reporters later, Pandikar Amin said the visit provided both sides the opportunity to exchange views regarding their respective parliamentary developments.
During the 30-minute meeting, Park also invited Pandikar Amin to visit the South Korean parliament in March. Pandikar Amin later received a courtesy call from Iranian ambassador to Malaysia, Mohammad Jalal Firouznia.
The meeting focused on the upcoming annual conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Member States to be hosted by Iran this year. Pandikar Amin was also invited to attend the conference in Tehran in mid-February. – Bernama
