Aeon Credit shares rise after Q1 earnings grew 21%

    PETALING JAYA: Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd's share price rose 3.15% this morning following a 21% jump in its net profit for the first quarter (Q1) ended May 31, 2017.
    At 11.27am today, the shares rose 60 sen to RM19.68 on some 159,700 shares traded. Its market capitalisation stood at RM2.748 billion.
    The non-bank lender Q1 earnings grew 21% to RM75.81 million, from RM62.73 million in the same period last year, on the back of higher interest and fee income.
    Its revenue increased 15.5% to RM302.28 million, compared with RM261.64 million previously.
