AirAsia incorporates subsidiary to manage charter activities

    PETALING JAYA: AirAsia Bhd said it has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary company known as AirAsia Corporate Charter Sdn Bhd (AACC) to act as an asset holding company and manage its charter activities.
    In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, AirAsia said this was further to its proposed acquisition of one unit of Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express 9M-CJG aircraft from Caterhamjet Global Ltd (CJG).
    It said the initial issued and paid-up share capital of AACC is RM2 represented by two ordinary shares and further capital will be raised accordingly to cater for its operational needs.
    AirAsia CEO and executive director Aireen Omar and deputy group CEO of operations Tharumalingam Kanagalingam are currently the directors of the company.
