Armed forces congratulate and support new Defence Minister

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) will give its full commitment and support to the new Defence Minister, Mohamad Sabu, also known as Mat Sabu.
Gen Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor, in congratulating Mat Sabu, said he believed in raising and exchanging ideas between the new Defence Minister and the MAF.
He said servicemen and their families would benefit while the nation's defence was still strong and intact.
Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had named Mat Sabu, who is also the President of Parti Amanah Negara (PAN), to take charge of the defence portfolio, at a press conference where he announced some of the cabinet members today.
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was appointed Home Minister, while Lim Guan Eng became the Finance Minister. — Bernama
