Backpack raises bomb scare in Kuala Kangsar

KUALA KANGSAR: A black backpack which was found in front of a bank in Jalan Raja Chulan here today raised a bomb scare after it was feared to contain an explosive device.
Kuala Kangsar police chief ACP Ahmad Termizi Abdul Haq said a bomb disposal unit was dispatched to the scene after police received a distress call on the discovery of the bag about 1.30pm.
An inspection revealed that the bag contained only clothes, he said when contacted by reporters here. — Bernama
