Body of autistic man found floating in Putrajaya lake

PUTRAJAYA: The body of a missing man, who was afflicted with autism, was found floating in the lake off the Marine Police jetty, Precinct 8 here today.
An officer on duty at the marine police base reported the discovery of the body of Muhammad Najmuddin Wan Ahmad, 23, at 12.55pm.
Putrajaya police chief ACP Rosly Hasan said the deceased had suffered from autism and hyperactivity.
He said Muhammad Najmuddin’s father, Wan Ahmad Wan Mohamad, had lodged a report at the Precinct 11 police station here this morning that his son failed to return home after leaving for an unknown destination yesterday.
He said the case was classified as sudden death.
The body was sent to the Putrajaya Hospital. — Bernama
