Budget 2019: Taxes on streaming services such as Spotify and Netflix

KUALA LUMPUR: The government will impose taxes on streaming services such as Spotify and Netflix starting January 2019.
Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng (pix) made the announcement when tabling Budget 2019.
He said that the tax is to help boost competitiveness among local streaming services.
"The tax will help balance up and make local companies more competitive," he said.
