Camilla attends women's group discussion

KUALA LUMPUR: Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, attended a women's group discussion at the Majestic Hotel here today.
Upon arrival, Her Royal Highness was introduced to the members of the discussion group by the British High Commissioner to Malaysia, Vicki Treadell.
Camilla gave a warm smile, shook hands with the women leaders who attended the discussion and asked about the activities of each of the women's organisations.
Among those present were National Council of Women's Organisations Malaysia (NCWO) president Tan Sri Dr Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin; Women's Aid Organisation vice-president Meera Samanther and Astro Group chief executive officer Datuk Rohana Rozhan.
Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, and Camilla arrived here Thursday on their maiden visit to Malaysia, which commemorates the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations between Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
The visit to Malaysia is part of a tour of Their Royal Highnesses to Singapore, Malaysia and India from Oct 30 to Nov 9, aimed at strengthening ties between Britain and Asia. — Bernama
