Dead baby found wrapped in plastic bag

PORT KLANG: The body of an infant boy was found in a black plastic bag that was dumped on the bridge near Jalan Parang, North Port here yesterday.
It was found by a surveyor doing work on the bridge at about 10am. Klang Utara police chief ACP Mohd Yusoff Mamat when contacted confirmed the matter and said the umbilical cord was still intact.
"The body of the baby, which is believed to have been born premature, was still intact but there were signs of injury on the right side of the abdomen.
"There were no CCTV cameras in the area and the body has been sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) Hospital in Klang for post-mortemt," he said.
He added that police were tracing the individual responsible and urged anyone with information on the case to contact the nearest police station. — Bernama
