KUALA LUMPUR: An NSK supermarket warehouse in Jalan Hospital, Sungai Buloh, north of here, was almost destroyed in a fire today, according to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.
Selangor Fire and Rescue assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul said the department deployed 31 firefighters from the Sungai Buloh, Kota Anggerik, Rawang, and Batu Arang stations soon after getting a call at 12.02pm.
The firefighters, who arrived at the scene six minutes later, brought the blaze under control and stopped it from spreading.
"The warehouse, measuring 200ft by 300ft, was 70% destroyed but we stopped the fire from spreading elsewhere at 12.15pm," he said when contacted by Bernama.
Mohd Sani said no one was injured in the fire. The cause was being determined, he added. — Bernama
