KUALA LUMPUR: Four men were killed and six others injured in two separate accidents along the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway near here early today.
Kajang police chief ACP Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the first incident about 2.20am at the 302km stretch involved two motorcyclists who collided with one another before they were thrown off the machines and died at the scene.
In a statement, he said the duo, aged 16 and 26, sustained head and body injuries, adding that the bodies were sent to the Serdang Hospital.
In the second crash about nine minutes later at the 301.5km stretch, two men were killed and six others injured in an accident involving a car and seven motorcycles.
Ahmad Dzaffir said the incident occurred when a rider on a Yahama 135LC motorcycle crashed into the right rear end of a Perodua Axia car, causing the driver to lose control.
"The collision caused the car to spin before six other motorcycles collided with it," he added.
The motorcyclist who crashed into the car died at the scene while another rider succumbed to head and body injuries while undergoing treatment at the Serdang Hospital near here.
Five other riders were injured while the car driver sustained neck injuries. They received treatment at the same hospital. — Bernama
