Guan Eng in four-cornered fight for Bagan

BUTTERWORTH: DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng is being challenged by three candidates in defending the Bagan parliamentary seat in the 14th general election (GE14).
Lim will be facing Lee Beng Seng of MCA, Koay Xing Boon of the Malaysian United Party (MU) and Datuk Huan Cheng Guan from Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM).
At 12.56pm, the returning officer for P043 Bagan announced the candidates contesting for the Bagan parliamentary seat and three state seats under it namely Sungai Puyu, Bagan Jermal and Bagan Dalam.
The three state will see five-cornered fights, in Sungai Puyu between incumbent Phee Boon Poh (PKR-DAP) against Lim Hai Song (BN), Tan Lay Hock of Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM), Neoh Bok Keng (MU) and Ong Yin Yin (Penang Front Parti – PFP).
The Bagan Jermal state seat will see a fight between Ang Chor Keong (BN), Soon Lip Chee (PKR-DAP), Teoh Chai Deng (PRM), M. Hari Devydran (MU) and Fabian George Albart (PFP) while for the Bagan Dalam state seat, BN's J. Dhinagaran will be challenged by M.Satees (PKR-DAP), Teoh Huck Ping (PRM), Teoh Uat Lye (MU) and Jasper Ooi Zong Han (PFP). — Bernama
