Malaysia targeting at least one gold at WSC 2017

SHAH ALAM: Malaysia is targetting at least one gold medal at the World Skills Competition (WSC) which will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from Oct 14-19.
Human Resource Minister Datuk Seri Dr Richard Riot (pix) said his ministry was targeting five medals overall in the 20 events Malaysia will be participating in at the competition.
"Malaysia's best achievement at the WSC was in 2015 when for the first time a bronze medal was won in hair styling.
"Continuous efforts have been made to ensure we achieve our target this time," he said in his speech for the opening of the Central Zone SkillMalaysia Carnival and the finals of the Youth WorldSkills Malaysiar 2017 here today.
