Man walks down street with severed head of wife in hand

A MAN was caught on video walking down a back alley in Guangzhou with the severed head of his wife in hand before tossing it into a rubbish bin.

The video, which was uploaded on Wednesday, went viral on Chinese social media. The authorities subsequently took down the video that horrified viewers.
Guangzhou police released a short statement saying the suspect had turned himself in at 8am on Wednesday and confessed to murdering his wife.
According to local reports, the suspect was identified as 31-year-old Zhang from Hubei province. His wife was said to be a 28-year-old woman surnamed Xia, from the same province.
They were said to have lived together in a rented home in Guangzhou's Haizhu district. Reports said Zhang told police that he had killed his wife after a domestic dispute.
