MazdaSport Academy debut a hit with Mazda owners

MAZDASPORT Academy’s very first ownership experience programme at MAEPS, Serdang, was a hit. Initially set to take place only on June 9, the “advanced driving” programme was extended for another day to June 10 due to overwhelming response.
With the heartening response, MazdaSports Division was determined to enrich more Mazda owners’ driving experience. Forty of the spirited owners came mostly from the Klang Valley, but a number travelled from Malacca, Johor, and even Terengganu to experience “Jinba Ittai” – being one with their Mazda and to discover their own driving potential. The owners enjoyed a Time Trial Challenge to test the skills after a day on the dynamic driving practical course. They were presented with certificates of accomplishment upon successful completion.
MazdaSports Division will be designing more Advance Driving programmes which will be either model specific or by categories based on vehicle drivetrain, powertrain and dimensions. Programmes tailored specifically for Mazda’s SUV range and iconic roadster, the MX-5, are currently underway.
Bermaz’s MazdaSports Division was formed in 2016 and currently encompasses vehicle development, parts and accessories, and experience programmes. Since its establishment, the MazdaSports Division has developed two models under its vehicle development project – the Mazda3 and Mazda2 with the nameplate “MS” and “M+” respectively, for the local market. MazdaSports Division anticipates offering a wider range of experience programmes under the MazdaSports Academy in the near future.
