Online jewellery trader shot in RM158,000 hold-up

PASIR MAS: An online jewellery and cosmetics trader was assaulted by three robbers, one of whom shot the victim in the right leg at his office located in a double-storey shophouse in Banggol Kulim here last night.
Mohd Irfan Abdullah, 26, sustained a gunshot wound in the calf during the 11.30pm hold-up in the upper floor.
The robbers who were masked escaped with RM150,000 in jewellery and RM8,000 in a white Perodua Kancil.
Pasir Mas police chief, ACP Abdullah Mohammad Piah said initial investigations revealed the victim was assaulted by the robbers before he was shot in the right calf.
He said this left Mohd Irfan in a pool of blood at the upper floor while the door on the ground floor was earlier locked by the robbers.
The victim was warded at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kota Baru, he said when contacted here today. — Bernama
