BUTTERWORTH: Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) which is part of the third alternative front — Gagasan Sejahtera, plans to contest in the Bagan parliamentary and Air Putih state seats with the aim of defeating DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng in his strongholds.
Its deputy president Datuk Huan Cheng said that the party leadership has decided to field candidates against Lim to unseat him in both the seats as they feel that he is a liability to the state.
Huan will take on Lim in Bagan and his colleague R. Manikandan, 40, will be contesting against Lim in his Air Putih state seat.
"Our motive is to unseat him as other DAP leaders in the state could replace him. At the same time he should have quit the chief minister post after he was charged for corruption. He could return to the post when he is cleared from the allegations," he said.
Huan said that he will expose a lot of untold secrets about Lim and his administration during campaigning.
