Penang Front Party to submit petition on Love Lane property to state govt

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Front Party (PFP) will submit a memorandum to the state government once a petition to return the historical house No.50 Love Lane to Meng Eng Soon temple garners 100 signatures.
Its president Datuk Patrick Ooi said the memorandum would be sent to the Chief Minister's office soon.
He said the property belongs to Penangites and should be returned to the temple.
"The state should show sincerity in solving this problem," he told reporters after urging people to sign the petition in Love Lane today.
The signing of the petition which was held from 10am to 12pm, has garnered up to 70 signatures of support at the time of writing.
"This property has been there for centuries, we just want to preserve what our ancestors have left for us," he added.
