KUALA LUMPUR: As a tribute for the 60th Independence Day, Petronas has launched its "Julang" which exhibits the company's 43-year journey at Kuala Lumpur City Centre yesterday.
A different way of campaigning conducted by Petronas this year, "Julang" shows the efforts of Malaysians in developing and adding value to the nation's oil and gas resources.
The exhibition takes viewers on a visual tour of Petronas’ journey from its early days with posters of Malaysian leaders and what they said about the company.
"For Petronas, as the custodian of the nation's hydrocarbon resources, the translation of this vision has been the cornerstone of all that we have done over the last 43 years with a remarkable outcome and this is what the exhibition 'Julang' has so eloquently captured," said Tan Sri Sidek Hassan, chairman of Petronas, who officiated the event.
As in previous years, Petronas also produced its latest national film directed by Ismail Kamarul.
This time, a four-minute web film titled "Piala Taman Thomas" features our badminton legends Rashid Sidek and Foo Kok Keong.
It tells the story of playing badminton in an open place and of some children challenging adults to a game.
In the story, the kids show their team work with different races and never give up until they win the game.
Rashid said this webfilm will encourage other young talents to never give up.
"This will be a big inspiration for the SEA Games players to give their best for our nation," said Foo.
