PM arrives in Labuan

LABUAN: Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak arrived here today for a one-day working visit, during which he will launch the Labuan Development Blueprint 2030.
He was received on arrival at Labuan Airport at 10.18am by Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and Labuan member of parliament Datuk Rozman Isli.
Also on hand to welcome him were federal ministers and Sabah deputy chief minister Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah, who represented Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman, as well as government officers and community leaders.
Aside from the blueprint, the Prime Minister is scheduled to launch a People's Housing Project and a 1Malaysia Public Housing Project.
He will also witness the presentation of appointment letter to the consultant engaged for the Techno-economic Feasibility Study on the Labuan-Menumbok Bridge, and signing of the Labuan Grand Prix of the Sea agreement between Labuan Development Foundation and Powerboat P1 Management Ltd.

Later, Najib will visit the exhibition site for the Labuan development projects before spending some time with local residents at the 'Karnival Rakyat'.
He will leave for Kota Kinabalu in the evening to attend other programmes in Penampang, Nabawan and Kota Marudu. — Bernama
