Police nab three, seize drugs worth over RM100,000

IPOH: The police detained three men and seized various drugs worth RM127,681 at separate locations here and in Batu Gajah over three days, beginning last Friday.
The suspects aged between 32 and 55 were picked up following public information.
Perak Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department chief, ACP R. Ravi Chandran said in the first arrest on Friday, a trader was picked up at a shop in Batu Gajah Perdana about 10.40pm, in connection with the seizure of nine plastic packets suspected to contain 3.8kg of heroin.
The man tested positive for methamphetamine and was remanded for a week, he told a press conference at the Perak police contingent headquarters here yesterday.
In the second case, the police picked up an unemployed man near Taman Desa Aman in Pasir Putih here last Saturday after seizing 80 plastic packets of suspected ecstasy powder weighing 821g.
The suspect was remanded for a week.
Ravi Chandran said the other suspect was detained at a shophouse in Canning Estate here last Sunday morning after the police found 300 Eramin 5 pills wrapped in 30 aluminium foils. — Bernama
