Pos Malaysia introduces 150 Years Straits Settlements Stamps

KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) has issued 150 Years Straits Settlements Stamps to commemorate Malaysia's history.
These strait stamps will be on sale to the public on Sept 4 and it features three stamp designs worth 60 sens, 80 sens and 90 sens.
The first provisional stamps for the Straits Settlements were Indian stamps which had an elephant head watermark, and were overprinted with a crown and new values in sens.
"Overall, the complete set of the 150 Years Straits Settlements stamp series is available at RM33.70 each," said Diyana Lean, the Head of Pos Malaysia's Stamp and Philately Unit.
She added that there would only be 200,000 pieces each issued for the 60 sen stamps and 80 sen stamps, and 140,000 pieces for the 90 sen stamps.
