KUALA LUMPUR: Tune Protect Group Berhad donated RM27,200 to Yayasan Chow Kit, which was collected during its Sponsor a Kid to School campaign.
During its campaign, its employees raised RM8,700 to provide two sets of uniform for each of the 57 children aged between seven and 12 who are under the care of the foundation, while RM18,500 will go towards repairing the leaking roof of the foundation's Pusat Aktiviti Kanak-Kanak.
The mock cheque of RM27,200 was presented to Yayasan Chow Kit chief operating officer Ananti Rajasingam by Tune Protect Group CEO Razman Hafidz Abu Zarim. Also present was a member of Yayasan Chow Kit's Board of Trustees Tunku Zain Al-'Abidin Tuanku Muhriz.
"I am glad that Tune Protect's idea of protection is not limited to insurance. The much needed repairs to our building will protect our children, staff and equipment as they go about their daily activities. Their new uniforms will provide a sense of identity and purpose that they need to move forward in life," said Tunku Zain said in his speech.
