Sabah NSC deports 441 illegals to the Philippines

    SANDAKAN: The National Security Council (NSC) in Sabah deported 441 illegal immigrants to the Philippines via the Sandakan Port here today.
    Sabah NSC director Datuk Rodzi Md Saad said the illegals, aged between one month and 63, comprised 254 men, 138 women, 49 children.
    They were sent back to Zamboanga on board a vessel and this was the sixth deportation for this year involving Philippine nationals, he said in a statement.
    Rodzi said the Sabah NSC had deported 3,447 illegals back to Indonesia, Pakistan and China in 11 operations since January.
    The number of illegal immigrants who had been deported and returned home voluntarily since 1990 was 568,022 people, he added. — Bernama
