Sedania Innovator's unit ties up with Matrix Energy to provide telco energy saving solutions for 10 years

PETALING JAYA: Sedania Innovator Bhd's unit IDOTTV Sdn Bhd has entered into a Strategic Partnership Agreement with Matrix Energy Sdn Bhd (MESB), a company specialising in energy management, to design, install and commission energy saving devices and other solutions for a local telecommunication company for a period of ten years.
The partnership is part of Sedania Innovator's venture in sustainable technology. No contract sum was disclosed.
IDOTTV shall be responsible to procure Green Technology Solutions at its own costs and expenses. IDOTTV and MESB are to project manage and provide installation of the Green Technology Solutions at the pre-determined locations and any selection of vendor or supplier shall be at IDOTTV’s discretion.
The targeted energy savings rate shall be on average 22% of the telco's future monthly electricity bills. Historically the average electricity bills for the selected facilities was RM2.0 million a month. The achieved energy savings will be shared between all parties.
The agreement also includes maintenance services of the Green Technology Solutions at the selected facilities. Installation of the solutions are to be completed in seven months ending Sept 30, 2018.
MESB is a certified ISO 9001:2008 Malaysian Energy Services Company (ESCo) registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga, specialising in energy management, which includes energy audits and evaluation of cost savings, green technology system integrator and energy performance contracting specialist.
Sedania Innovator in its filing with Bursa Malaysia said, MESB has a track record of implementing many projects from various energy consumers such as financial institutions, hospitals, commercial buildings, fast food chain restaurants and industrial.
The company's share price was down one sen in morning trade to 28 sen with some 63,000 shares changing hands.
