Sungai Golok bomb blast victims rises to 13

NARATHIWAT: The number of people who sustained injuries as a result of three bomb explosions in the border town of Sungai Golok, south Thailand yesterday, has risen to 13, up from four as previously reported.
Sungai Golok police chief, Col Prayuth Wongsanti said the victims, aged between three and 53, were treated at a nearby hospital.
Speaking to reporters here today, he said the authorities were closing in on six individuals believed to have been involved in the incidents, based on footage from closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
It was reported yesterday that at least four local residents were injured when the bombs exploded simultaneously in three locations at the town near Rantau Panjang in Kelantan, Malaysia about 6pm.
No Malaysian was reported injured in the incident.
According to Prayuth, the first bomb exploded in front of a karaoke place on the Prachaviwat Road, followed by the second in front of a restaurant and the third behind the Plaza Hotel. — Bernama
